Hawaiian Flowers

The flowers found in the Hawaiian Islands include a wide range of orchids, anthurium, and protea. Some of these flowers have become beautiful representatives of the islands. Some have been extensively used in leis. Other stunning flowers have been known throughout the globe because of their bright colors and exotic shapes, reminiscent of the mystique of the islands.

Most of the plants native to Hawaii are relatively mundane in appearance, with little of the flair associated with Hawaiian flowers. The tropical climate and rich fertile volcanic soil provides an ideal growing location for a wide range of plants.

The globally exclaimed native orchids to Hawaii, the jewel orchid, the twayblade, and the fringed orchid, are some of the flowers which are used at numerous occasions. All three of these orchid varieties, named anoectochilus, liparis, and platanthera, are sticky-leaved, dull colored flowers, and are comparatively unimpressive to look at. A number of hibiscus varieties are also found in Hawaii, and they are flowers with variety of colors including white, yellow, pink and red. These flowers are also found in a number of exotic shades and shapes. The varieties of hibiscus flowers are colloquially known as koki'o ke'oke'o, ma'o hau hele, and koli'o.

The most popular import to Hawaii is undoubtedly the bird of paradise flower, also known as a crane lily or strelitzia reginae. The tender yellow-orange petals with shimmering blue and green make for one of the most striking visual images in the botanical world. Commonly, a bouquet or lei is created using a dendrobium orchid, a small orchid with pure white blossoms that is ideal for complimenting more colorful blooms. Dendrobiums are found in almost all colors, ranging from blood-orange hued dendrobium unicum to the tender pink of dendrobium aphyllum.

More Than Sun and Surf - A Hawaii Vacation Is Paradise For Golfers

Hawaii is home to the hula, luaus, active volcanoes, awesome surfing, and the best Mai Tais west of Trader Vic’s.

And with over 80 courses on five islands, golf that is arguably the best on the planet.

Anyone who has ever played a round or two in the Islands, amateur to pro, will gladly tell you that a Hawaii vacation is A-Number One for the sheer number, beauty, and accessibility of golf courses in one geographical location. Whether you’re a hard-core golf addict or weekend duffer, if you have a spark of interest in this lovely, maddening game Samuel Johnson dubbed “a good walk ruin’d,” you’ll get on the horn and find a Hawaii vacation package in paradise.

The one that I have booked this fall is a Hawaii golf vacation package that includes six days of unlimited golf for two – and a choice of four beautiful resorts on three islands – Oahu’s Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, the Maui Prince Hotel, and, on Hawaii’s Big Island, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Resort.

The golf courses are magnificent; among the very best in Hawaii. By island: The Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, on Oahu, is the only hotel in Waikiki with its own golf course. This 27-hole, 270-acre beauty was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, and is situated on the sunny Ewa plain just 40 minutes west of the hotel (shuttle service is provided for hotel guests).

At the Maui Prince Hotel, you’ll find two championship courses available to guests – the Makena North and South Courses. The Makena North Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., feels more like a nature walk than a golf course, with views of Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean. The Makena South Course provides the serenity and tranquility many golfers look for, with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains.

The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, on Hawaii’s Big Island, is home to Hapuna Golf Course, named by the U.S. Golf Association as “The Course of the Future.” The links-style, 18-hole championship course, also designed by Arnold Palmer & Ed Seay, is nestled within the natural contours of the land, from the shoreline to about 700 feet above sea level. It features spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, with the dramatic Mauna Kea Volcano providing a backdrop.

Finally, the incomparable Mauna Kea Golf Course, also on the Big Island and consistently named among the finest courses in the world, offers golfers the perfect challenge to match their level of play. Created by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., this 18-hole championship beauty features large, undulating greens, 120 well-placed bunkers, and incredible panoramic sweeps of sea and land.

All of these packages include round-trip airfare; a fresh flower lei greeting upon arrival; airport/hotel transfers on Oahu, a daily Dollar Rent A Car on Maui and Hawaii’s Big Island, hotel accommodations and unlimited golf for two with shared cart at all four resorts.

Now, I won’t tell you which island – or which hotel – I’ve chosen (I wouldn’t want to influence your decision too much), but I will let you know that the travel dates for these Hawaii vacation packages range from now through December 16, 2007, giving you plenty of time to plan a fantastic Hawaii golf getaway.

Snorkel & Dive The Pristine Waters Of Hawaii

If you are looking for a great snorkeling adventure, Hawaii is one of the premier places to visit. The Crystal waters of blue-green and emeralds is what makes the Hawaiian Islands so popular to vacationers. These waters stretch for miles and miles, completely surrounding the islands and the prime spot for snorkeling. If the photographs of Hawaii and its waters entice you, wait until you actually visit, you will be amazed, which is why so many people return to Hawaii over and over again for their vacation destination.

If you look to the Hawaiian island chain, you will find the best snorkeling spots anywhere. The island chain is made up of six main islands, the big island of Hawaii, Molokai, Maui, Oahu, Lanai and Kauai. These islands have the most spectacular and diverse underwater adventures that you can experience. This makes Hawaii perhaps the best location for avid divers and lots of easy stuff for first timers as well.

Another reason Hawaii is the top spot for snorkeling adventures is the preservation of habitat that the government has protected. These habitats are natural and can be found within the seas and on the beach. The government protects its endangered species and has strict measures in place to ensure the process continues. Of all the animal life you are bound to see on your visit to Hawaii, the best may be awaiting for you in the depths of the sea.

Hawaii is home to the most vivid and beautiful colored fish in the tropics. The seas also houses dolphins, angel fish, and the Hawaiian Sea Turtle. The coral within the surrounding waters of Hawaii is some of the rarest coral species in the world. It is for this reason that divers from all over the world visit Hawaii regularly for their snorkeling adventures.

The Hanauma Bay of Oahu

Many of the reefs that are located around Oahu and especially the Hanauma Bay are filled with elaborate coral formations. You can be sure to always find schools of dolphins off the coast of Wainae. You can also find such places with beautiful reefs and schools of fish located on the North Shore at the sleepy town of Haleiwa.

Oahu is perhaps one of the most unique places to explore for a snorkeling experience. A big reason for that is Hanauma Bay. It is world famous for its protected marine sanctuary with more than 450 varieties of ocean life species, making this a fragile and breathtaking Hawaiian snorkeling experience.

If you are looking for vegetation and sandy beaches Kauai, the Garden Island, is the best place to go. The coral reefs and lagoons of Kauai are some of the most popular diving spots in the area. Kauai is home to native fish that cannot be found anywhere else within the seas. In fact, because these are rare and native fish, this is probably the area with the highest protection in Hawaii, which is why snorkeling fanatics frequent this place for their dives.

Kauai is also known for its vast labyrinths of pathways that intertwine the reefs together for a unique snorkeling experience. The sea caves and waterfalls are true natural water wonders that no one will want to miss out on. Even the most expert snorklers will be amazed by the beauty of this unique environment. Hawaii is definitely the best place to explore sea life and will be one of the best snorkel adventures that you will ever have.

Free and Cheap Lodging in Hawaii?

A Hawaii vacation doesn't have to be expensive. If you're willing to pitch a tent, you can have a lot of fun camping free on the island of Oahu and some areas on the Big Island and Maui. What better way to experience Hawaii first-hand than by waking up to and going to sleep to the sound of the ocean or mountains?

The State of Hawaii maintains campsites on all islands. The Big Island has camping and cabin sites around the island. Camping in Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island is free with a paid entry fee to the park. Reservations are required for the cabin sites in the National Park. Kauai has several beach and mountain camping sites as well as the popular Kokee Lodge Cabins. Molokai has two state campsites, Lanai has six semi-rural campsites on the beach, and Maui has mountain and ocean campgrounds and cabins. Camping in Haleakala National Park on Maui is free with permit. Oahu has the most campsites of all the islands. Kualoa Beach Park on Oahu is popular for its hot showers, barbecue pits, and well-taken care of camping areas.

Camping permits are required for most campgrounds and camping fees range from free to less than $10 per night. Cabin rentals can start at less than $50 per night.

If sleeping on the ground doesn't interest you, but you might not mind sharing a bathroom and don't need the frills of a hotel, check out a hostel. Hostel prices start at under $20 per night, even in Waikiki. Depending on the hostel, you can find a private room, private studio, or a cabin for several people.

Whether you choose a free campsite or a cabin by the sea, you can't go wrong since you'll be in Hawaii! Happy Camping!

Discover Top 7 Important Tips For a Vacation in Hawaii

Have you ever dreamed of vacationing on a lush, tropical isle? Imagine white sandy beaches, the frangipani scented breeze blowing through your hair. It doesn't have to be a dream. Here are the best 7 tips for a vacation in Hawaii:

1. Research the various islands that make up Hawaii. Choose the island that seems compatible with your interests such as well populated places or areas that are more secluded.

2. Make hotel reservations at least 60-90 days in advance. This will prevent problems later on and ensure you have a pleasant vacation in Hawaii.

3. Make airline reservations 2-3 months in advance to ensure you get your preferred seats (aisle or window) and possibly a good discount on air fare.

4. Research the activities available after you have chosen your vacation spot. This will help to give you an idea of places to see and things to do whether you like laying out in the sun, boogie boarding, or surfing.

5. Pack lots of light clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, skirts, and even that Hawaiian shirt you bought several years ago that you stuffed in the back of your closet. Also, don't forget to bring your bathing suit, towels, sandals, sun tan lotion, bug spray, camera, camcorders and anything else to make your vacation a blast!

6. Bring your appetite with you! Definitely plan on attending at least one Luau. This is an experience you will never forget as you taste exotic dishes such as whole roasted pig, Poi, and seafood served fresh from the sea. The delicious food alone is enough to make you want to vacation in Hawaii.

7. Relax and take it easy. Remember, you are on vacation so this is the time to turn off your blackberry and leave the work at home. Your family will thank you for it and you will have more time to stop and smell the leis and enjoy cocktails on the beach.

If these 7 tips don't convince you to vacation in Hawaii then you are already overworked and need to take a time out! The Hawaiian Islands are calling to you. Can you say aloha?

Hawaiian Flower Tattoos, Exotic Flowers, Yet Simple

Hawaiian flower tattoos are becoming very popular. Hawaii is one of those places people dream about going to or living. If you've been there, you want to go back. The climate is perfect nearly all the time. The people are beautiful and friendly. It seems natural to want to express that feeling with a tattoo.

The state flower of Hawaii is the hibiscus. Hibiscus come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. If a woman wears a hibiscus behind her ear, she is either saying she is taken or is looking, depending on the ear. Hibiscus petals are only open for a short time during the day. A Hawaiian flower tattoo with hibiscus could symbolize the shortness of life.

If you've ever visited Hawaii you have been presented with a lei. Leis are generally made from plumeria. They bloom all year and they have a very sweet scent and a variety of colors. Plumeria can be used as an accent to a tattoo with hibiscus or on its own to signify warmth and welcome.

Hawaiian flower tattoos can be very simple or combined with other elements to make an intricate design. Someone who has visited the island may want a simple reminder of its beauty and get a Hawaiian flower tattoo. On men you might see hibiscus flowers surrounding some tribal art. Hawaii is one of the Polynesian islands and tribal tattooing has a deep history.

Combining different symbols of the island can make a unique tattoo design. You can combine the plumeria or hibiscus with dolphins, water or waves, surfboards or even beautiful women. Plumeria and hibiscus are not the only flowers that can be used in Hawaiian flower tattoos. Hawaii is full of gorgeous flowers such as the lily, orchid and rose. All of these can be used to make a beautiful tattoo.

Because these flowers are so simple, you want to take your time and figure out how your tattoo is going to be unique. You don't want to just go into a tattoo parlor and say you want a Hawaiian flower tattoo. You will be left with a generic tattoo that you may regret.

Choosing a tattoo can be a hard decision that takes time. It will be with you for life so you want it to be unique and imaginative. Find beautiful Hawaiian flower tattoos that speak to you. Don't waste your time looking at website after website for free tattoos. Spend your time looking through thousands of the best tattoo designs all in one place.

It has one of the most romantic and beautiful beachscapes in the state. Some of the sites that you can see from this beach include amazing waterfalls, deep emerald mountainsides, white sand and azure blue water. This is a great beach if you are interested in surfing, painting, boating, snorkeling or swimming.

The fourth spot on Hawaii’s Most Popular Beaches list goes to Kaanapali. The Black Rock Beach is located in West Maui. This beach is perfect for people looking for water adventures. A Look at Hawaiian T-Shirts

Hawaiian T-shirts can be found in a wide variety of colors and styles. The popular design can be found in everything from $2 cotton to $100 silk. Some of the more expensive Hawaiian shirts, also considered to be the highest quality, are border Hawaiian shirts.

Border Hawaiian shirts are a luxury because so much fabric is wasted in making them. This well thought-out type of Hawaiian shirt has sleeves, sides, and hems that are identical. Pockets will usually match the shirt pattern perfectly. Some of the better border Hawaiian shirts have designs that never repeat themselves. Another unique trait of the border shirt is its length - they are generally much longer than other Hawaiian shirts in order to show off the fabric's images. Because of the purpose of their length, border Hawaiian shirts are never meant to be tucked in.

Another ""high quality mark"" of a Hawaiian T-shirt is the ""Made in Hawaii"" label. Even if a shirt is not a border shirt, the ""Made in Hawaii"" label ensures its authenticity and separates it from other cheap imitations. The label became a staple for shirts made on the island in the 1950s, when a trade commissioner from Los Angeles realized that identifying locally made Hawaiian shirts could increase their value.

Although the ""best"" Hawaiian T-shirts are considered to come from Hawaii, quality shirts with the Hawaiian design can be found in all types of stores and markets across the world.

There Are Many Hawaii News Channels Available On Most Of The Islands

Whether you actually live in the area or are just visiting, you will find that most Hawaii news channels are either affiliates of the major networks, or broadcast by local cable access cable companies. If you are staying in a hotel, the choices for viewing will vary from island to island. As well, it will vary depending on if your hotel subscribes to satellite or cable. Both services are available on all islands. If you live in the area, then most choices that are available on the mainland are available in Hawaii. National news, including all of the major networks, and cable channels like CNN and the Weather channel are also available. Your hotel room should have a channel guide near the television set.

Hawaii news channels are important to watch everyday if you are on vacation. Since most of the activities are outdoors, it important to look at the local forecast to see if it predicts that there will be inclement weather. Check any policies from tour operators before you make payment for their services. They all have different restrictions on rain checks and refunds. Some tour groups and outdoor performances will go on as scheduled and require that you show up in person to get a rain check. Others will deliver their service regardless of weather with no refunds. For example, a Kayaking company may say, "We go rain or shine. You'll get wet any way, so there are no refunds." Other vendors may allow a cancellation 24 hours ahead of time if there is a particularly severe storm coming in.

Hawaii news channels can also help you get more acquainted with the area. They all have local segments that highlight festivals and events that you might not be aware of. As well, they report any traffic hold ups, closed roads, closed beaches, rip tides, and airport delays. If the worst should happen; they also report on hurricanes and typhoons and even have lava advisories. In case of emergency evacuation, they also report on what precautionary steps you should take. Hawaii news channels will tell you what areas will be hit hardest, who needs to evacuate and where they need to go.

Hawaii news channels also include cable access news and a variety of other programs that discuss issues that pertain to Hawaii. If you are interested in the local culture or politics, these shows will give you a local on perspective of what living on the islands is like.

What To Know About Lodging, Hotels, and Rentals Homes In Hawaii

When planning a trip or stay in Hawaii one of the first things to consider is lodging. While most people would start looking at hotels, one should consider looking into rental properties. Rental properties are homes, condos, villas or land available for rent for a period of time. Most can be rented for days or even weeks at a time.

Once deciding you would like to stay in a rental property, you need to choose which type you would like to stay in. Deciding factors would include number of people traveling; amenities needed, and amount of privacy you would like. If you are traveling with family you might want to consider renting a home, but if you are traveling as a couple you might consider getting a condo. If you are traveling with a large group of people that would like separate places but would like to stay in the same facility or on the same property you should consider looking into villas or attached condos. There are rental properties available to fit everyone's needs.

Once you decide what type of rental property you would like to stay in, you should then deicide which island you would like to stay on. Hawaii is made up of eight major islands including Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Hawaii which is referred to as the big island. Who you are traveling with, and what activities you are planning on doing, should be considered while choosing which island to stay on. Each island has unique qualities and activities to do.

Another factor to considering when getting a rental property is deciding what month you would like to go in. The most popular times to go to Hawaii are mid-December to mid-April; during these times you will find prices to be a little higher due to large volumes of vacationers. The best weather in Hawaii can be found in April, May, September and October. Hurricane season is from June to November in Hawaii. These should be some factors in deciding when to plan your trip.

Once you have decided on what type of rental property you would like to stay in and what island you would like to stay on, and what month you are going, you then need to find your perfect rental property. Instead of going to your local travel agent, there are many sites available on the internet to book your perfect rental property.

Hawaii Travel Specials: How To Find Them And What To Look For

Are you interested in taking a trip to Hawaii? If you are, you may be concerned with the cost. Nowadays, it can be costly to travel to just about anywhere. With that said, you shouldn’t let the cost deter you. There are a number of ways that you can save money on your next Hawaii vacation. One of the easiest ways is to look for Hawaii travel specials.

As nice as it is to hear that you can save money on your next vacation by looking for Hawaii travel specials, you may be looking for more information. Many wonder if Hawaii travel deals can really save them money. Many also wonder how to find them and if they are really worth the time to find.

The easiest way to search for Hawaii travel specials is to use the internet. Within a few minutes online, you can find amazing deals and discounts on your overnight accommodations, airline reservations, car rentals, and so much more. As for how you can find these travel deals and discounts online, you can visit online travel websites, perform a standard internet search, or go directly to the source. Going directly to the source often involves visiting the online websites of Hawaii vacation resorts or Hawaii airlines.

Hawaii travel guides are another great way that you can go about finding information on moneysaving deals and discounts. Many travel guides not only outline popular attractions and fun activities, but they also allow businesses to advertise in them as well. You may find advertisements that highlight special deals, discounts, or packages on your airline reservations, a car rental, or a Hawaii vacation rental.

Now that you know how you can go about finding Hawaii travel specials, you may be curious as to what it is that you should look for. For starters, look for low prices. Even without any research, you should have an idea as to how much you would like to spend on a Hawaii vacation resort or your airline tickets. Keep your expectations in mind and aim for prices below that. For example, if you anticipated to pay $500 a night for a private Hawaii vacation rental, look for a lower price.

In addition to low prices, also look for discounted prices, also commonly referred to as slashed prices. These are often easy to spot. When a company, such as a Hawaii hotel or a car rental company discounts their prices, they often show you the discount that you are receiving. For example, a car rental that is offered at a discounted price may be shown with an original price of $25 a day with a slash through that price and a new price of $20 a day. Searching for Hawaii travel specials that offer discounted prices is nice, as you automatically know how much money you can save.

Another way to save money on your next trip to Hawaii is to look for vacation packages. Vacation packages are nice as they not only have the potential to save you money, but they also have the potential to save you time. This is because you are able to make multiple reservations all at the same time. Since you are making multiple travel arrangements all at once, vacation package prices can seem quite high. You can easily check though to see if you are saving money. Look up the cost of each of your travel arrangements, such as your overnight accommodations, car rental, and airline reservations independently and compare the two.

Although the best Hawaii travel specials to find are those that provide you with low prices, discounted prices, or vacation packages, just remember that your goal is to save money. You can do this a number of different ways. If you are presented with an option to save money, take it. This may involve using a coupon at a restaurant or a coupon for one free surfing lesson with a paid session.

As stated above, one of the best ways to find Hawaii travel specials is to use the internet to your advantage. To get you started, visit HawaiianBeachRentals.com. They are a trusted travel website that specializes in Hawaii trips.

Search Hawaii Divorce Records Online

Generally speaking, marriage is usually taken to be the most significant and meaningful event of our lives, yet in Hawaii, over 40% of couples have been through a divorce. While it is a great tragedy that such a sentimental tradition such as marriage has fallen to such a level, divorce has become an irreversible part of our society which we simply cannot reject. Divorce records too, have become a part of society and an important document for a great many of reasons.

Divorce records fall under the local administration of the Hawaii state government. They are public records thus anyone who wants to view them can do so at the responsible government agency. This also inherently implies that there is no reason for anyone to be in the dark about their partner's marital past.

The Vital Records Office of Hawaii is in charge of various public records, including Hawaii divorce records belong to. Other records include marriage records, birth records and death records. The standard information that can be obtained from divorce records include names, dates, addresses and the like. Some related records may appear alongside the divorce certificate such as birth and marriage records.

Hawaii divorce records have existed since the early 1900s, it was only until the popularization of the internet that divorce records were used as an easy and accurate source for information. This was because it was a huge hassle to get these records before the internet became widely used. Searching for the information you need online became much cheaper and faster compared to the earlier methods of conducting background checks.

Some online divorce record websites are free while most charge an annual membership fee. The free websites however, tend to be scattered and unorganized, making obtaining useful information a tiresome and tedious task. With the sensitive nature of divorce, credibility is often of utmost priority. Thus the paid sites may often be the better choice.

Hawaii Vacation Rental - Easier Than a Hotel

Good accommodations are one of the top considerations when going on vacation. For many of us, our immediate first idea is a chain hotel or motel with a familiar name. However, there are alternatives, even in tropical destinations like Hawaii. Perhaps a Hawaii vacation rental is just what you are looking for during your stay in paradise.

Whether you look at villas or houses, or Hawaii condo rentals, choosing a rental has many things to recommend it. With a Hawaii vacation rental, you have privacy and often quiet you would never have in a hotel or motel. You don't have to worry about staff coming in and out of your room and you may feel more relaxed and secure in a more home like setting.

Another perk is the freedom to make some of your meals instead of eating out, which can mean savings that can more than pay for that Hawaii vacation rental. You certainly don't have to chain yourself to the kitchen and do all the cooking, but it's more convenient as well as cheaper to fix a bowl of cereal and brew a cup of great Kona coffee in your bathrobe than it is to dress and go to the restaurant. You don't have to worry about what time the dining room closes either.

Many hotel rooms have small kitchens or kitchenettes, while a rental will almost always have a complete functioning kitchen with all necessary appliances which is far more resourceful. The luxury of a full size dining table or an outside patio can give a very "homey" feeling and may lead to a more relaxing vacation. On average a rental is more luxurious and spacious, while costing the same as a hotel room would.

Hawaii vacation rentals can be found for a just a few days or for much longer stays as well. A good travel agent can help you find these properties or you can do a search on the internet and find them easily. You may even pick a destination since if Kauai vacation rental pops up as a special offer at a great price, you may decide that this is the island for you!

The drawbacks that some people find to a Hawaii vacation rental is that you will need to do some things that a hotel usually does for you. On the other hand, a little cleaning, cooking, and making your own bed is not much of a problem when it comes with the comfort of being in a real home instead of one of dozens of commercial bedrooms. The rental can make the whole vacation much more peaceful and relaxing. If you think you'll miss room service, just remember that you can order a pizza in Hawaii just like you do at home.

Finding excellent lodgings is of major importance to travelers even in a tropical paradise like Hawaii. A Hawaii vacation rental provides a relaxed, homey accommodation. Vacation rentals have complete kitchens where you can prepare some of your meals and save money. A fully-equipped kitchen that allows you to eat on a private balcony or around a dining table will help your relax. Travel agents and online resources can help you find a Kauai vacation rental at a great price. In a rental you'll have to do a little housekeeping, but you'll find it to be a comfortable environment without intrusive hotel staff. Hawaii condo rentals are another option.

A Few Insider Tips For Visiting Hawaii

A trip to Hawaii is one that you will definitely never forget. Its natural beauty is unmatched anywhere else in the world. It has beautiful scenery, culture, and people. If you’ve never been to Hawaii, make it a priority to get there as soon as possible. There are many features that make Hawaii a unique destination.

Probably the most famous feature of the Hawaiian Islands is the numerous volcanoes that found there. Volcanoes are what caused the formation of the islands in the first place and they are a big part of what makes them special today. Kilauea is by far the most active of all the volcanoes. It has basically been erupting a little bit every day for the better part of twenty years. Watching the lava hit the ocean is an interesting experience in itself. The two extreme temperatures meeting cause steam to rise up high above the water. The rapid cooling of the lava forms rocks and they break into many pieces. This is something you’ll definitely want to check out while in Hawaii.

The volcanoes also contribute to another well-known feature of Hawaii. The black sand beaches that cover the big island are a one-of-a-kind sight. Many destinations brag about their white sandy beaches, but Hawaii has the exact opposite. It is something that you must see to believe.

Other beautiful sights in Hawaii are the amazing waterfalls. Akaka Falls is a state park that you can observe a 442-foot high waterfall. The water cascading over the falls presents a relaxing atmosphere. You can view the falls from multiple places inside the park.

Hawaii also offers world-class accommodations for every traveler. On the island of Oahu, there are over 30,000 hotel rooms. This obviously presents you with a multitude of choices. You can choose between resorts, bed and breakfasts, or a private villa.

There really isn’t a bad time of year to plan your trip either. The weather is virtually perfect year-round. In the winter it is a little cooler, but it can still be 80 degrees. During the summer, it may get up in the high 80’s and low 90’s. However, the ocean breeze keeps it comfortable on most days.

When you’re ready to travel to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, get ready to have fun. You’ll want to go back again and again. Be sure to find a place that fits your needs and is within your price range.

Taking Hawaii Submarine Tours

Hawaii is definitely the place to go for adventure. Of course there is sunbathing, guided tours and extravagant shows, but Hawaii has a lot to offer for those who like a physical challenge or extreme adventure. There is rock climbing, deep sea diving, horseback riding, para sailing, hiking, helicopter rides, whale watching and even submarine tours. Hawaii submarine tours are one of the most exciting and adventurous tours you can take when you are on the islands.

What are Hawaii submarine tours?

Hawaii submarine tours use passenger submarines to take travelers under the sea in order to observe ocean life and the terrain that goes with it. Being able to see the marine life of Hawaii up close is fascinating. On the tours, passengers can expect to see many species of tropical fish, turtles and manta rays. They will also observe coral reefs and sunken ships and airplanes. The submarines come in different sizes depending on the tour. The smaller subs seat about 48 passengers and the larger subs seat about 64 passengers. Both sizes have large viewing windows and state of the art technology.

There are several companies operating Hawaii submarine tours around the islands, the largest being the Atlantis Adventures Company. They provide different underwater adventures to enjoy and have standard and premium packages. They feature the Atlantis Submarine underwater adventure, which has the most technologically advanced vessels of their kind. In this underwater vessel, passengers will travel one hundred feet below the ocean's surface to encounter the fascinating creatures that inhabit the coral reefs and sunken ships. The duration of the tours provided by the Atlantis Adventures Company is about an hour and forty five minutes in length. There is also a tour guide on board to point out various kinds of sea life and educate passengers on the history of this underwater paradise.

The Atlantis Company knows the ocean well. They operate 13 locations around the world and have taken over three quarters of a million people on under sea adventures. They are one of the most established adventure tour companies in the world, and they definitely have brought their experience and technology to provide some of the best Hawaii submarine tours on the islands.

Because of the popularity of the tours, it is wise to book well in advance. Also, most submarine companies provide other types of tours on the island like snorkeling, whale watching, diving, and helicopter tours that can be booked together in money saving packages.

Hawaii Rentals - Making the Right Choice

Many travelers to the Hawaiian Islands choose to stay in rentals rather than what one would classify as the typical Hawaii Resorts. The motivation to choose a vacation rental may not always be a search for a cheap Hawaii vacation, however, rentals do come with a very wide price range and can be arranged for rent by the day, week or month.

A romantic couple may be in search of a cozy respite for two or a large bustling family may be in search of a large home away from home in which to organize their troops. Many find Hawaii rentals a popular way to enjoy the isles while avoiding being immersed in the nearly 7 million other tourists who make their way to the islands annually.

Although there are many online vacation rental directories, it would be prudent to choose a reputable local real estate firm that specializes in Hawaii accommodations. The professionals that work for these businesses will be best suited to position you in the center of the activities in which you plan to enjoy. They also will be available to assist you with airfare specials and car rentals. A rental specialist will inform you up-front of minimum stay restrictions, special rates and the whether certain amenities are included.

Hawaii rentals give travelers options. They can enjoy the privacy and freedom of the rural areas, or stay just a short walk up the beach from a luxurious resort. One thing that is certain, there is no shortage of rentals on the islands with literally thousands of possibilities.

For the travelers in search of a rural secluded getaway the islands offer cabanas and traditional island dwellings. Most all come with the conveniences of home, but it would be wise to check with your travel specialist before leaving home. The quaint rural areas of the land give travelers a different insight into the personality of the islands.

Other travelers prefer the active centers of activity where Hawaii rentals range from apartments, villas and high-rises to comfy bed & breakfast inns. The islands are sure to be able to accommodate any of their numerous travelers with an ideal vacation rental.

Visit the website Great Hawaii Vacation Rentals for more information about planning you Hawaii vacation. They offer a large selection of Kauai luxury vacation rentals, Maui oceanfront vacation condos along with exceptional rental accommodations in Oahu, the Big Island, Molokai and Lanai.

Hawaii - Fun and Adventurous Things to Do with Kids

If you think that Hawaii only offers sun and surf, you couldn’t be more wrong. There is much more for a family to do on the islands of Hawaii, including taking advantage some world-class skiing!

Hawaii is home to Mauna Kea, which when measured from its undersea base to its 13,000-foot summit, is the tallest mountain in the world. If you are visiting Hawaii in the winter, you can actually ski on Mauna Kea! However, skiing and snowboarding are not what draws most visitors to the summit of Mauna Kea. At the top of the majestic mountain is the sunset and stargazing tour. This experience starts at the base of the mountain where professionally trained guides take guests in luxurious all-terrain vehicles to the mountain’s summit where an astronomy center is located. Guests can view the stars and planets from the super-sized telescope in the observatory. Dinner is included, as well as coats for each guest, because it is surprisingly cool at the top of the mountain. This is a great family activity that many people miss on the islands of Hawaii. The trip lasts around eight hours, so plan on spending the day on this adventure. Keep in mind, though, that young children are not advised to participate, as they can experience altitude sickness.

One problem many kids experience on vacation is boredom. Parents look forward to spending time resting and unwinding, but kids crave action! One way to visit remote areas of the Hawaiian Islands while helping the kids expend their energy is taking a bicycle tour. Many tour companies rent bicycles, so you and your family can take a two-wheeled tour of parts of the island you haven’t visited before. Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day exploring inland island beauty!

Hawaii is famous for its many volcanoes. The town of Volcano, Hawaii, is one of the best locations to visit some of the lesser known, and therefore less crowded, volcanoes on the islands. Start with a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you can see actual flowing lava. That’s sure to be a hit with the kids!

Of course, the kids will want to spend some time at the beach. If you are looking for a less crowded place to enjoy the sand and sun of Hawaii’s famous beaches, head to the island of Lanai. Lanai is one of the lesser-known islands among tourists, and has excellent sites for snorkeling. The Manele Bay and Hulopo’e Beach are particularly good places to enjoy the water.

It is possible to enjoy Hawaii with your children without battling the crowds at the more tourist-friendly areas. All it takes is a little research and ingenuity. Try these locations for an exciting Hawaiian family adventure!

Involved in the Hawaii Travel Industry since 1969, Gary runs http://www.greathawaiivacationrentals.com, where you can find Hawaii vacation rentals in the all the major islands. Find the perfect vacation rental in Kauai, Maui, Oahu, the Big Island or Molokai.

A Hawaii Cruise - Perfect for the First Time Hawaii Vacationer!

If you've never been to Hawaii and are thinking about taking your next vacation there, a cruise may be just the ticket to your vacationing paradise. In fact, even if you've already been to the Islands, you might still find that cruising is the way to go.

There are many reasons why cruising is the choice for many vacationers, and should be your first choice, especially if this is your first trip to Hawaii and you just don't know which island to go to.

One of the main benefits to a Hawaii cruise is that you are able to visit just about every one of the main islands. One of the problems many Hawaii vacationers have is that they can't decide on which island to visit. If you think about it, once you decide you want to go to Hawaii, the next logical step in your vacation planning is to figure out which island you want to spend your time on. The great thing about a cruise is that you don't have to decide. You get a little taste of each of the islands! And, if it's your first time in Hawaii, this allows you to check out each island so that next time you decide to go to Hawaii, you can spend your entire vacation on your favorite island.

Another great benefit of a cruise is that they are all-inclusive. About the only thing that the package does not include is alcohol and off-ship excursions. There is food constantly being offered all day long, and if you're on the ship, it's free! And, every night, you'll get a very nice dinner. That is one thing about cruises that everybody raves about - the dinners. Every ship is different, but one thing that is common is that the dinners are exceptionally good. We're talking steak, lobster, shrimp, pasta, and more. And, it's usually a 5 course meal - appetizer, soup, salad, main course, and dessert.

Besides food, all-inclusive also includes entertainment, nightly shows, games, and more.

Booking excursions easily right from the ship is another reason why cruises are a nice way to go. The ship will have an excursion desk where you can go to book all your off-ship excursions. Of course, the excursions are an extra cost, but to have one place to go to book excursions is worth the time and effort you will save... especially on your first vacation to Hawaii. You don't want to waste time looking around on land for things to do... you want to just do them!

So, as you can see, there are many great reasons why you ought to take a Hawaii cruise, especially if you're a first timer. If you've never been to Hawaii, this is the way to go. You are able to visit multiple islands, cruises are all-inclusive, and they make booking excursions very convenient. There's a good chance that you'll want to take another Hawaii cruise once it's over... or you might find the one island that you loved and want to go back to again.

No matter what you decide, you'll be very happy you decided to take a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands!

Hawaii Vacation Guide Will Get The Most From Your Hawaii Vacations

Planning a trip to Hawaii? This Hawaii Vacation Guide is a must for all your adventurous and cultural needs. Hawaii is a series of tropical islands with much to offer the curious or active tourist. It can be an expensive trip, but knowing the insider tips will make it less cumbersome. You are best choosing a reputable Hawaii travel guide found in your local bookstore to take with you. Here are a few of the main highlights you will find in most of the reputable Hawaii vacation guide books.

One of the most popular Hawaii destinations is Oahu Island. It is easily reached by using car rental or for the more adventurous traveler local transport like buses. The amazing tropical scenery alone makes Oahu worth a visit. This may seem like a strange recommendation but you will find that one of the most interesting sights in Oahu is the Punchbowl or National Cemetery on Puowaina Drive. you will find it is only a short trek and well worth it. Of course no visit to Oahu would be complete without visiting the historical USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. It really is an awe inspiring location.

It is possible to take a boat from one side of the harbor to the other where you get off onto a kind of floating barge, this can be a very emotional experience especially when it is pointed out that the remains of hundreds of sailors are down beneath you. There is also a fascinating mini guided tour which teaches you everything you need to know about the final moments of the ill fated Arizona. You might find the trip by boat a bit expensive depending on your vacation budget but the program itself is free but if you have any sense of history then no Hawaii vacation is complete without this wonderful experience.

One of the other most popular Hawaii islands is Kauai. Even if you are based on Oahu or the Big Island you it is still worth taking the short hop across. And if your Hawaii vacation is based there even better. Kauai is my personal favorite. There so many amazing things to see and do on Kauai it is difficult to know where to start. Living in Nevada one of my favorite locations to visit the Pacific's version of the Grand canyon, Waimea Canyon Lookout. This ten mile strip of beauty should not be missed during your vacation whether you are on a Hawaii package vacation or have just booked your own hotel. In fact if you are on a Hawaii cruise nothing could be simpler as this is one of the standard cruise land vacation excursions. Another interesting location is The Salt Pond County Beach Park which has the only rock salt ponds in Hawaii. This may not sound very exciting but when you realize how long they have existed it is quite remarkable. You can also visit Hanalei Bay where you can see an historical Russian fortress. Of course no vacation to Hawaii is complete without a trip to the Maniniholo natural dry cave, which is created from vines and trees, legend has it by sea elves!.

If, however, you go to Hawaii to relax on warm sandy beaches, you are going to the right place. Its beaches seemingly go on forever, lavished in some of the world's most beautiful, tropical scenery. There are a wide variety of options for your Hawaii vacations choices. Just looking at All Inclusive Vacations To Hawaii options will have your head spinning at the variety and options available. Whatever you choice, beaches or history, taking a Hawaii Vacation Guide is a must as it will include Hawaii Travel Tips for many different options like Hawaiian Cruises, Hawaii Family Vacations, so as you can see having a Hawaii vacation guide is an absolute must.

5 Tips For Planning The Best Hawaii Vacation Ever

Are you in the process of planning a trip to Hawaii? If you are, you may be wondering how you can ensure that your next trip is the best Hawaii vacation you have or will ever have. For many, planning a vacation can seem like a stressful, complicated, and overwhelming process.

For your convenience, outlined below are five tips to help make sure that your next trip is the best Hawaii vacation ever.

1 – Choose Your Hawaii Vacation Destination Wisely

What is nice about vacationing on Hawaii is that you have a number of Hawaiian Islands to choose from. This is great, in terms of planning the best Hawaii vacation. You have so much freedom. Unfortunately, some travelers find this freedom and the options that they have overwhelming.

When it comes to choosing a Hawaii vacation destination, it is important to first examine your needs. Do you need to travel for business or are you traveling just to visit your friends or family? If so, you may not have much freedom with choosing your vacation destination. If you do have the option to visit whichever Hawaiian Island you want, you should know that Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and Big Island come highly rated and recommend.

2 – Make Your Travel Plans Early

One of the best ways to ensure that your Hawaii trip is the best that it can be is to make your travel plans well in advance of your trip. What is nice about doing so is that it is easy. Instead of waiting until the last minute, just make your travel plans a few months early.

As for why you should make your Hawaii travel plans well in advance of your trip, there are a number of benefits to doing so. First, you are likely presented with a larger number of options. Making your reservations before other travelers are able to do so will likely result in more options, like with overnight accommodations, airline seats, and car rentals. It also gives you the time to examine all of your options and find moneysaving Hawaii travel specials.

3 – Stay at a Private Hawaii Vacation Rental

In addition to having options, in terms of which Hawaiian Island you want to visit, you also have options on how you want to stay. The most common overnight accommodations include hotels and vacation resorts, but you may want to book a stay at a private Hawaii vacation rental instead. For many travelers, the best Hawaii vacation involves having privacy and the ability to come and go as they please.

When choosing a Hawaii vacation rental, be sure to know what your wants and needs are. You do not want to go over your budget, but you will also want to choose a rental that can provide you with what you need, in terms of space and included features or services.

4 – Find the Best Vacation Deals

When it comes time to make your Hawaii travel plans, be sure to take the time to find the best deals. The good news is that this is easy to do online with the internet. Online travel websites can allow you to examine your options, in terms of overnight accommodations, car rentals, and airline reservations. You can easily compare prices and quality all at the same time.

As for why you should find the best Hawaii vacation deals, doing so enables you to save money. When you know that you can afford your trip, you are more likely to enjoy yourself. Also, when you save money on your travel plans, like with your Hawaii vacation rental, you can have more money to put towards vacation activities, which can also improve your vacation and the overall experience.

5 – Choose Fun Vacation Activities

Another important component of planning the best Hawaii vacation is to make sure that you have a good time. What better way to do so than to plan fun and exciting activities? What is nice about Hawaii is that no matter which Hawaiian Island you choose to visit, you should have an unlimited number of activities to participate in and attractions to visit.

When choosing what activities you want to participate in, be sure to keep your options open. Choose activities that you know you enjoy, like swimming or hiking, but also try something new, like learning how to surf or scuba dive.
